Supporting the Transition to High School | October Workshop

Is this workshop for your family?

If you have a child starting high school in 2026, then this workshop is for you! We've had a number of clients recently expressing normal nerves about this big change, so we wanted to create a shared space to discuss it. We will be running this workshop as a split support structure where a group of high school starters will explore topics with a Psychologist, and parents will separately explore topics with another Psychologist in an adjacent room.

What would this workshop support with?

The workshop will aim to provide a safe space for adolescents to share how they are feeling about their high school start, normalise the experience and build some coping strategies to equip them for the transition.

This change is just as big for parents, and we are passionate about systemic support at Therapy House. This is why we've chosen to offer the simultaneous parent session to explore the changes and provide you some tools to support your child and family through this transition.

Workshop Cost and Process?

This 1.5 hour workshop will cost $200 (inclusive of parent and child) - you can express interest via registering for free via this event page. We will then use this information to create a booking in our system and send you an invoice to confirm your spot.
